April 28, 2020: Seven people watching a football match in Morocco have been killed in a flash flood that swept across the pitch. Heavy rainfall caused the nearby river to swell which flooded the football field in Tizert, in the Taroudant region of Morocco.

April 28, 2020: An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hit Chamba region today at around 12:17 pm in Himachal Pradesh of India with tremor felt in the neighbouring districts including Kangra. People from Dharamshala, the district headquarters of Kangra district also reported about the tremor felt due the earthquake. No preliminary damage or injuries have been recorded due to the earthquake in Kangra today. A destructive earthquake of magnitude 7.8 in Kangra valley in 1905 killed more than 20,000 people.

April 27, 2020: An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 earthquake has been felt in Turkmenistan with its epicenter in Tajikistan. The epicenter of the earthquake was located around 23 km from Khorugh, Gorno-Badakhshan, Tajikistan. The earthquake occurred at 137 km depth. The people in Turkmenistan report of an earthquake tremor felt around 04:58 pm local time. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.

April 25, 2020: Severe thunderstorms in Vietnam have claimed lives of three people, injured 13 and damaged almost 6,000 homes. One person died in Ha Giang province after being hit by a fallen tree. Others lost their life when the house collapsed following a rockslide.

April 26, 2020: Magnitude 4.0 light earthquake has been recorded in Sikkim at 10:59 am with most of the felt reports received from Siliguri, the Indian State of west Bengal. The epicenter was located 26 km NE of Odlabar and 49 km far from Siliguri, India. The earthquake occurred at 10 km depth. The epicenter was located near India-Bangladesh border region. The earthquake felt reports were received from Nagrakata, Siliguri and Kalchini areas.  No preliminary or injuries have been reported from earthquake in Siiguri today.

April 23,2020: Magnitude 3.4 light earthquake ('Zemetrasenie' in Slovak) has been felt in Michalovce, Slovakia today at 01:18 am local time, The Slovak Academy of Sciences, Department of Seismology said. According to the Slovak Academy of Sciences , the earthquake occurred at 16 km depth. The quake's epicenter was located just 3 km W of Michalovce, Slovakia . Most of the earthquake felt reports were received from Strážske, Michalovcen and Galszéc areas. No preliminary reports of injuries or damages have been reported from earthquake in Michalovce, Slovakia.

April 21, 2020: Severe flooding in Afghanistan over the past weeks has claimed lives of at least 56 people and injured 31 others. The worst flood affected Provinces are Badakhshan, Badghis, Baghlan, Farah, Faryab, Parwan, Takhar, and Ghor.  Around 600 houses have been destroyed and more than 3 000 partially damaged.

April 21, 2020: Severe flooding has claimed lives of at least 36 people and injured 42 people in parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo. About 45 other people injured, 3,500 homes destroyed when the Mulongwe river flooded in Uvira city on Friday 17 April, 2020. About 1,000 families have been said to homeless. According to the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), the city of Uvira and surrounding areas in South Kivu have been the worst affected.

April 21, 2020: Severe flooding and landslides in Rwanda and Burundi have claimed lives of at least nine people and affected 27,000 people from April 17 to 20, 2020. Heavy rainfall triggered landslides in the district of Gicumbi in the Northern Province of Rwanda, with the most affected areas being Nyankenke and Kageyo sectors. Heavy rainfall wiped off the cobblestone road in an area commonly known as "Ku Ntaraga" in Kimisagara. Meteo Rwanda has issued heavy rainfall warnings until April 26, 2020.

April 21, 2020: An earthquake of magnitude 3.1 has been recorded in Odessa, Texas today, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported. According to the USGS, the earthquake's epicenter was located 11 km NE of Odessa and 21 km ENE of Midland, Texas, United States. USGS received earthquake felt reports from Odessa, Gardendale and Goldsmith. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported from earthquake in Odessa, Texas today.

April 19, 2020: An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 has been recorded 25 km SE of Ofunato,  The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA)  reported. According to the JMA, the earthquake occurred at 50 km depth. The tremor was felt in Kamaishi, Yahaba, Furukawa, Sendai, Misawa, Koriyama, and as far as Japan 's capital Tokyo. JMA confirmed that the earthquake today near Ofunato poses no tsunami risk. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) put the quake at a magnitude of 6.3 and a depth of 38 km.

April 19, 2020: An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 has been recorded near Carpinteria, California today, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed. According to the USGS, the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of less than 1 km.  The quake's epicenter was located 12 km SW of Carpinteria and 26 km far from Santa Barbara. USGS received earthquake felt reports from Carpinteria, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Summerland, Ojai and Montecito. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported from earthquake near Carpinteria today.

April 15, 2020: An undersea earthquake of magnitude 4.8 off Bowen, Queensland coast has been recorded today at 5:11 pm, GeoScience Australia confirmed. The earthquake occurred at 10 km depth. Tremor was felt y the people from Townsville to Mackay. There is no threat of tsunami.

April 13, 2020: The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency has confirmed six deaths due to tornadoes across several southern US states . In Mississippi, three deaths were confirmed in Jefferson Davis County, two in Lawrence and one in Walthall. Tornadoes touched down in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. Mississippi governor Tate Reeves has declared a state of emergency after several tornadoes struck the state. Around 300 homes and other buildings were damaged in northern Louisiana. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued tornado watches and warnings for several states including Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama.

April 13, 2020: A tornado warning has been issued for Central Onlosw County, North Carolina.  At 09:57 am EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Belgrade or 11 miles northeast of Piney Green and was moving northeast at 60 mph. Locations that could be impacted Jacksonville, New River Station, Pumpkin Center, Piney Green, Camp Lejeune Center, Swansboro, Hubert, Maysville, Silverdale, Kellum, Midway Park, Belgrade, Catfish Lake, Deppe and Loco VFD. At least six people have already died after storms triggered tornadoes and flooding in Mississippi . Tornadoes touched down in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. Mississippi governor Tate Reeves has declared a state of emergency .

April 12, 2020: Magnitude 3.7 light earthquake has been recorded in Uttar Pradesh, India today at 5:45 pm local time, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported. According to the USGS, the quake's epicenter was located around 5 km SE of Sardhana and 67 km SSW of Delhi. The earthquake occurred at 10 km depth. USGS received earthquake felt reports from Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida and Gurgaon. CM Arvind Kejriwal prayed for everyone's safety via twitter. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported. April 11, 2020: A small earthquake of magnitude 2.1 has been recorded in Maine today at 10:36 am UTC, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.  According to the USGS, the quake's epicenter was located 2 km NW of Winterport, Maine. USGS received earthquake felt reports from Maine and Bangor. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.

April 11, 2020: A series of earthquakes shook the California-Nevada border near the Yosemite National Park with recent one of magnitude 5.2 near Bodie, California. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), magnitude 5.2 moderate earthquake in California today at 7:36 am had its epicenter located 30km SE of Bodie and 51 km SSW of Mammoth Lakes. Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has been tracking the asteroid JF1 for the last decade which is predicted to fly nearby Earth on May 6, 2022. Scientists confirm that there is 0.026% probability of a direct impact with JF1 on 6 May, 2022.  Experts believe that JF1 measures around 130 meters in diameter and it’s about the size of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. April 10, 2020: Magnitude 3.7 light earthquake has been recorded in Southern Israel today, The Geological Survey of Israel confirmed. The earthquake occurred at 15 km depth. The quake's epicenter was located in Hatzeva area in the Arava region of Israel . Earlier this week, an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 was felt in the area surrounding the Red Sea city of Eilat. Israel sits on the Sinai microplate, which is believed to be the subsection of the gigantic Nubian plate. April 11, 2020:  An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 hit Basco, Batanes early Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) confirmed. According to the PHIVOLCS, the earthquake was tectonic in origin. The quake's epicenter was located around 13 km NE of Basco, Batanes. Intensity IV was felt in Basco, Itbayat, Mahatao, Ivana, Uyugan & Sabtang, Batanes; Calayan & Pamplona, Cagayan. The Batanes earthquake today is expected to cause aftershocks but no damage is expected. A magnitude 5.9 earthquake in Batanes in July 2019 killed nine people. The whole province of Batanes was placed under a state of calamity.

April 11, 2020: The world-famous Krakatoa volcano, Anak Krakatau, has erupted with huge plume of smoke and ash, the Indonesian Centre for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation said. The Anak Krakatau volcano eruption started on Friday at 10:35pm local time. The Krakatoa volcano spewed plumes of ash 15km into the air. According to the media reports, many residents in Jakarta and West Java heard loud thunder-like sounds, believed to be from the volcanic activity on Anak Krakatau. The eruption of Krakatoa in 1883 killed more than 36,000 people. The 1883 eruption of Krakatoa destroyed more than 70% of the island of Krakatoa and its surrounding archipelago.

April 9, 2020: A small earthquake of magnitude 1.3 has been recorded in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania today, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed. According to the USGS, the earthquake in Wyomissing today occurred at 5 km depth. The epicenter was located 3.5 km ENE of Reading and 78.1 km W of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The tremor was well felt by the people of Wyomissing and Reading, Pennsylvania. According to the USGS, people in the Lancaster seismic zone of southeastern Pennsylvania have felt small earthquakes and suffered damage from larger ones.

April 8, 2020: Greece’s civil protection agency has declared a state of emergency for Skopelos, Skiathos, South Pelion and the Zagora-Mouresi Municipality following the recent bad weather . Heavy rainfall flooded several houses and shops in Skopelos. Similarly, road damage and landslides have been reported in Zagora-Mouresi Municipality. Mudslides have obstructed the the road linking Zagora and Horefto.

April 9, 2020: More than 200 households have been affected due to flooding in Morobe province of west coast of Papua New Guinea. The Rumu river was overflowed. Also damages have been reported to several houses and public buildings across Gabnaron and Zifasing villages. Heavy rainfall is forecast across Papua New Guinea on April 8-9, 2020.

April 6, 2020: Flash floods and landslides triggered by heavy rainfall have claimed lives of four people in two districts of Tana Toraja regency in South Sulawesi, Indonesia . According to the Tana Toraja Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), three people died in South Makale district and one in Rantetayo district. The landslide has washed away several roads including the main road connecting Tana Toraja regency and North Toraja regency.

April 6, 2020: Cyclone Harold has claimed lives of at least seven people and left 21 other missing across Solomon Islands, after a passenger ferry was washed away due to storm surge. Cyclone Harold is currently a category five storm - the most severe. The earthquake tremor which lasted for about three seconds had its epicenter near Arkalgud-K R Nagar, Karnataka, India . According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre, the tremor was felt in Mysuru, Mandya and Hassan district. The people rushed out of their houses for safety in various areas of Kodagu district.. No major damage or injuries is expected from the earthquake due to its mild intensity.

April 2, 2020: At least 20 people have been killed due to the lightning strike in Kintele, a suburb of Brazzaville, the Republic of the Congo (Congo Republic). The high voltage cables broke up over the lightning caused by rains leading to electrocution in the Brazzaville area. Atleast dozen of people are still having treatment at the Talangai Reference Hospital. Over the next 24 hours, heavy rain is forecast over central-south Republic of the Congo, including the Brazzaville area. April 2, 2020: An area of low pressure has triggered torrential rainfall leading to floods in parts of eastern Spain. Floodwaters have affected Castellon de la Plana, the capital of Castellon province. According to media reports, at least 91 people have been rescued in Almassora, Borriana and Oropesa.  Further, severe thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds have been predicted for the Balearic Islands.

April 1, 2020: Recent flash floods in Afghanistan have claimed lives of 11 people and injured 15 others. According to the Ministry of State for Natural Disaster and Humanitarian, flood water have totally destroyed around 288 houses. April 1, 2020: Recent flooding has claimed life of a person, affected 56,000 people and inundated at least 9,285 houses in six districts of Bandung regency, West Java. A 70-year-old resident of Bojong Soang village died after slipping in floodwater, the West Java Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) confirmed. March 31, 2020: Strong earthquake of magnitude 6.5 has been recorded in Idaho at 05:52 pm local time, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported. According to the USGS, the earthquake's epicenter was located 72km W of Challis, Idaho. The earthquake occurred at 10 km depth. The earthquake was felt by the residents from Nevada to Montana.
