Earthquake in Kangra today: 4.0 magnitude earthquake shakes Himachal Pradesh

April 28, 2020: An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hit Chamba region today at around 12:17 pm in Himachal Pradesh of India with tremor felt in the neighbouring districts including Kangra.

People from Dharamshala, the district headquarters of Kangra district also reported about the tremor felt due the earthquake.

No preliminary damage or injuries have been recorded due to the earthquake in Kangra today.

A destructive earthquake of magnitude 7.8 in Kangra valley in 1905 killed more than 20,000 people.
