March 29, 2019: Magnitude 2.9 weak earthquake has been recorded in California with epicenter located 5km far from Vallejo, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported. The earthquake occurred at s shallow depth of 8.5 km. The tremor was well felt in Crockett, Rodeo, Vallejo, Hercules, Port Costa, Pinole and Benicia, CA. No damage is expected from this earthquake.

March 25, 2019: Flash floods triggered by heavy rain in the southern Shiraz city of Iran have claimed lives of  eleven people. "At least 11 people were killed and 35 were injured in the Fars province," US News reported quoting the head of Iran's emergency medical services.

March 25, 2019: Tropical Cyclone Joaninha is currently located approximately 314 NM E-NE of Port Louis, Mauritius,  The Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) reports. Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System has issued an Orange Alert for Tropical Cyclone Joaninha-19 in Mauritius. Tropical Cyclone Joaninha-19 can have a medium humanitarian impact based on the maximum sustained wind speed, exposed population and vulnerability.

March 25, 2019: Volcano eruption at Bikita has feared people after villager interviewed by the Civil Protection Department CPD alleged that a fire was seen at the mountain top. A huge rock estimated to weigh between 10 and 15 tonnes fell from Mapadza Mountain in Bikita on Saturday,  Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) reported. The Civil Protection Department (CPD) in Masvingo has already dispatched a team to Bikita in Masvingo province to look the situation. No injuries have been reported. March 24, 2019: An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 has been felt today in Nairobi at 07:21 pm local time. According to the United States Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 41km NNW of Wundanyi, Kenya . The tremor was felt as far as 300 km from the epicenter in Arusha, Nairobi and Kiambu area. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10km inside Tsavo West National Park of Kenya. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.

March 24, 2019: Tsunami warnings have been issued by Thailand's department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation in six provinces including Phuket and Krabi. A tsunami warning has been issued for Phuket, Ranong, Phang Nga, Krabi and Satun following two earthquakes in the Indian Ocean. The tsunami warning was issued after magnitude 5.0 and 5.2 earthquakes in Ocean Ocean around Andaman Islands . The department has asked the six provinces to keep following the situation in case tsunami hits, Xinhua reported. Phuket and Krabi are some of Thailand’s most popular beaches with huge numbers of tourist inflow.

March 22, 2019: Four tremors along with loud explosions were heard across Pali district of Rajasthan on Friday night around 11:10pm. Earthquake-like shaking was felt in Pali causing people to evacuate their buildings immediately at the midnight. The explosions and tremors were from the practice conducted by the Indian Air Force.  Sonic booms generate enormous amounts of sound energy, sounding much like an explosion. Three days ago, similar cases were reported from Rajapalayam, Tamilnadu. Hundreds of people reported of earthquake felt in Rajapalayam . However, Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Authority confirmed that no earthquake has been recorded in Rajapalayam. Officials said that blasts in quarries along the ghats was the reason. On Sunday, magnitude 4.0 light earthquake was felt across Alwar, Rajasthan . 

March 22, 2019: Weak earthquake of magnitude 2.3 has been felt in Bluffdale, Utah today at 07:36 am, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported. According to the USGS, the earthquake occurred 3km SSW of Bluffdale, Utah.  Weak tremor of MMI II-III have been felt in Riverton, Draper, Lehi, Herriman and Saratoga Springs, Utah.

March 22, 2019: Magnitude 4.0 light earthquake in Philippines triggered tremor in Iloilo today, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported. According to PHIVOLCS, Light intensity III have been felt in Buenavista, Guimaras, Iloilo. No damage or aftershocks have been expected from the earthquake today in Iloilo city.

March 21, 2019: Magnitude 4.7 moderate earthquake has been recorded in Meghalaya, India at 08:00 pm. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km, India Meteorological Department reported. The tremor was widely felt across Guwahati and Shillong. People from parts of Bhutan and Bangladesh also reported of weak tremor felt in the border regions. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.

Severe Tropical Cyclone Veronica Forecast Track Map (BOM) March 21, 2019: Severe Tropical Cyclone Veronica has reached a category four severity with major impact for the Pilbara coast likely over the weekend. According to Bureau of Meteorology (BOM), Australia , at 8:00 pm AWST, Tropical Cyclone Veronica was located within 35 kilometres of 17.3 degrees South, 117.3 degrees East , 360 kilometres north northwest of Port Hedland and 385 kilometres north of Karratha. Severe Tropical Cyclone Veronica, a Category 4 system, is moving slowly towards the Pilbara coast. The cyclone should continue its south to southwest track tonight and Friday before taking a more south southeast track on Saturday. Whilst it is possible that the cyclone may weaken before reaching the Pilbara coast, a severe coastal impact is likely, BOM reported. Tropical Cyclone Trevor Forecast Track Map (BOM) March 21, 2019: Authorities have declared a state of emergency in the Gulf of Carpentaria, Australia ahead of the arrival of Tropical Cyclone Trevor. According to Bureau of Meteorology, Australia (BOM), Tropical Cyclone Trevor is located in the eastern Gulf of Carpentaria and is expected to rapidly intensify to a Category 3 system as it moves towards the NT. In the west, Cyclone Veronica is now Cat 4 & tracking towards the Pilbara coast.  Tropical Cyclone Trevor will continue to intensify off the western Peninsula coast as it moves southwest. A severe impact on the southwestern Gulf of Carpentaria coast is likely over the weekend. According to BOM, at 9:30 pm ACST, Tropical Cyclone Trevor was located within 20 kilometres of 13.6 degrees South, 141.1 degrees East, 75 kilometres west southwest of Aurukun and 510 kilometres east of Alyangula. March 20, 2019: Flash floods in western Herat province of Afghanistan has claimed lives of at least 13 people, including women and children. Fatalities include four women and three children from Robat Sangi, Zindajan, Ghoryan, Zawal and Kohzor districts of the province. More than 1,855 houses have been destroyed and 2,841 others are partially damaged in the province, the Afghanistan Times reported. In the beginning of this month, flash floods in Kandahar, the southern Afghanistan claimed lives of 20 people.

March 20, 2019: Magnitude 5.7 earthquake has been recorded in Denizli, Western Turkey at 06:34 am, Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute (KOERI) reported. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 5 km. The earthquake was centered in the town of Acipayam, in Denizli province, The government-run Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency said.  Three people have been injured by falling bricks or after jumping from balconies.

Update 8:30 pm Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Authority confirmed that no earthquake has been recorded in Rajapalayam. Officials suspect that blasts in quarries along the ghats could be the reason, The Hindu reported. Update 7:15 pm Three explosion were heard in Rajapalayam area. Tremor along with explosion were heard at 12.10 p.m., 2.45 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. Original Report March 19, 2019: We have received dozens of earthquake felt reports from Rajapalayam of Virudhunagar district of Tamilnadu. Tremor along with explosions were heard in the region. Several people gathered in the open spaces in the fear of tremors in Rajapalayam today. However, India Meteorological Department hasn't mentioned anything about the earthquake in Rajapalayam area on its website. Rajapalayam is a city in Virudhunagar district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

March 18, 2019: At least 77 people have been killed following a flash flood in Sentani, Jayapura, Indonesia. The flash flood occurred after seven-hour torrential downpour. Flash flood has affected 11,725 families in Papua, The National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure (BNPB) reported. Around 350 houses have been badly destroyed and 211 others in BTN Bintang Timur Sentani are still inundated. The flooding mostly struck the Sentani Kota district, affecting Sentani Kota, Hinekombe and Dobonsolo subdistricts and five villages, Kampung Sereh, Yoboy, Yahim, Yobeh and Ifar Besar, The Jakarta Post reported.

March 18, 2019: Magnitude 4.1 earthquake rattled Chitlang today at 09:01 am, Nepal Seismological Center reported. According to the Nepal Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10km. The epicenter was located near Indreni Mushroom Resort Chitlang, Makwanpur.  The tremor was also felt in Kathmandu and the surrounding areas. The tremor lasted for 2-3 seconds. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported. Last month, magnitude 4.0 earthquake was recorded in Kirtipur . The earthquake was widely across Kathmandu valley.

March 17, 2019: Magnitude 4.0 light earthquake has been recorded in Sikar district of Rajasthan, India at 05:11 am Sunday morning. According to the India Meteorological department, earthquake of magnitude III have been felt in Sikar, Jhunjhunun, Namaul, Dausa and Alwar.  The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10km.  We have dozens of felt reports from Alwar region of Rajsathan.  No damage or injuries have been reported. March 12, 2019: Flooding caused by tropical cyclone Idai has claimed lives of 10 people and affected around 62,975 people in Mozambique. Cyclone Idai has currently intensified to that of a Category 3 hurricane in the Atlantic or eastern Pacific oceans. At its peak intensity, Idai's strength may be equal to a super typhoon or a strong Category 4 or even a Category 5 hurricane,  AccuWeather reported. According to AccuWeather , Idai is now expected to strike central Mozambique on Friday. "At least 120,000 people are at risk of flooding and heavy rains in the coming days," the UN said. Following the current projection, residents of Beira, Chiloane, Nova Sofala and Chinde will be at high risk from the cyclone Idai. The precursor of Idai affected Malawi and Mozambique. March 11, 2019: Severe flooding in thirteen districts of southern Malawi has claimed lives of at least 28 people. According to Chipiliro Khamula, a spokesman for Malawi's Department of Disaster Management in the Ministry of Homeland Security, around 124 people have been missing in recent disaster. A state of disasters has been declared in the areas.  A low pressure system moved into southern Malawi on March 6, causing continuous wide-spread rains accompanied by strong wind, Xinhua reported.

March 11, 2019: An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 rattled Andaman and Nicobar Islands today at 0:44 am, India Meteorological Department reported. The earthquake occurred at a greater depth of 95km causing it to be felt across wider region. However, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported magnitude 4.5 earthquake in Andaman Islands with epicenter located 101km E of Port Blair, India. No damage or injuries have been reported. The Nicobar Islands are an archipelagic island chain in the eastern Indian Ocean. The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake of magnitude 9.1 killed 227,898 people in 14 countries making one of the deadliest natural disasters in recorded history. 

March 8, 2019: Magnitude 6.2 strong earthquake rattled Surigao Del Norte today at 11:00 pm, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported. According to the (PHIVOLCS), the earthquake was of tectonic origin and occured a depth of 16 kilometers with epicenter north of Siargao Island in Surigao del Norte and east of Dinagat Island. No damage or injuries have been reported. Maynardville, TN earthquake epicenter map (USGS) March 5, 2019: Magnitude 3.4 earthquake has been recorded in Maynardville, Tennessee today, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported. According to the USGS, the earthquake occurred at around 3:56 p.m. near Lone Mountain on Kettle Hollow Road in Union County at a depth of 17 km. The epicenter was located 40.7 km far from the Knoxville, Tennessee , United States. The exact epicenter was at the intersection of gray road and Kettle Hollow road. Light to weak tremor was felt in the radius of 30km from the epicenter. USGS received earthquake felt reports from Powder Springs, Luttrell, Maynardville, Washburn, New Tazewell, Sharps Chapel, Blaine, Corryton, Rutledge and Speedwell. March 4, 2019: Earthquakes Canada has detected seismic activity near Sylvan Lake and Red Deer, Canada today. Residents of Sylvan Lake and Red Dee woke up due to earthquake at 5:55 a.m. Monday morning. Tremor was felt across Central Alberta, with many communities experiencing a power outage. The last earthquake reported by Earthquake Canada was in Salmon Arm, B.C on March 2. The tremor was felt from Sicamous to Tappen.

March 3, 2019: The Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) has recorded a light earthquake of magnitude of 3.9 in Accra. The earthquake occurred Saturday at 11:22 pm and was felt in Weija, Gbawe and McCarthy Hill which is within the Ga South Municipality.  Following the recent earthquakes in Ghana , President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has put the National Security and the Ministry of the Interior on alert for a possible earthquake as tremors increase. The two agencies have been asked to prepare for a national earthquake emergency plan with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) as the coordinating agency that will minimize its impact if it occurs. Within three months, at least two major earth tremors in the capital city Accra, Africa Feeds reported.

March 3, 2019: Magnitude 3.4 earthquake has been recorded in Lake County at 07:04 am today, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported. According to the USGS, the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 2 km. The epicenter was located 6 km W of Lower Lake and 27 km SE of Lakeport. Light to weak tremor was felt in Kelseyville, Lower Lake, Clearlake, Middletown, Glenhaven, Hidden Valley and Napa.

March 2, 2019:  Flash floods in Kandahar, the southern Afghanistan claimed lives of 20 people. According to  the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), heavy rainfall caused flooding in Kandahar city. At least 10 people, including children, are still missing in Arghandab, Daman, Spin Boldak and Dand districts.

March 3, 2019: A small earthquake of magnitude 2.2 rattled Salmon Arm, a city in the Shuswap Country of the Southern Interior of the Canadian province of British Columbia at 11:23 p.m. PST today. According to the Earthquakes Canada, the earthquake occurred at an estimated depth of 1 km with epicenter located 4 km NE of Salmon Arm. Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) mentioned via twitter that "it appears there is no immediate emergency or threat to public safety in the Salmon Arm area." The tremor was felt from Sicamous to Tappen.
