Yellowstone eruption 2015: USGS recent report shows 56 earthquakes

The latest update of the Yellowstone volcano by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) has shown total 56 registered earthquakes in the Yellowstone National Park region in March 2015.

The largest event was a small earthquake of magnitude 2.2 on March 23, at 00:25 AM MST, located about 16 miles north northwest of Lake Village, WY.

No earthquake swarm activity was present during March.

There were total 78 registered earthquakes in February 2015 in the Yellowstone National Park region. The alert level of recent volcanic activity in Yellowstone National Park is “normal” and current aviation color code is “green.”

Yellowstone National Park is the world's first national park located in the United States.
