Lightning in Solukhumbu, Nepal kills 3

A lightning in Waku VDC of Solukhumbu district of Nepal has claimed lives of at least three people.

"The lightening has also damaged peltric set with the capacity of 11 KW," Nepal Republic Media has written quoting the local police.

The village is just south of Mount Everest.

Similarly, another lightning strike in Jalpa VDC in Khotang district have injured four people on Wednesday night. Injured people are having treatment at  Janasewa Community Hospital.

Thunderstorm and lightning are common natural disasters in Nepal. At least five people died by lightning strikes in Nepal in March last year.
