Kamchatkan volcano Shiveluch emits column of hot volcanic ash and gas

Kamchatkan volcano Shiveluch has emitted column of hot volcanic ash and gas upto 9 km above the sea level, the Kamchatkan branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Geophysical Service reported.

A code orange alert has been issued for the Shiveluch volcano.

According to Kamchatkan territorial department of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, no ash fall has been reported from Shiveluch volcano.

Shiveluch is the northernmost active volcano in Kamchatka Krai, Russia.
