Kristi Hanna from Del City, OK:
Was sitting on couch and about 2:01 am heard a loud boom and the wall of our back home by the couch and window shook for a second. Sounded more like a bomb at the time and I called the Del City Police Dept (non emergency number but couldn't get an answer so I called Del City Fire Dept and they said they thought this was probably an Earthquake).
Holly Hair from Hall Park area Norman, OK: Heard a rumbling sound while lightly sleeping... Wondered why a train was coming through at 2 am...then a sudden jolt and rattle. Felt like I was back in California ( I born there and lived there until I was 30). Definitely an earthquake!
Cori Coty from Shawnee, OK:
At 1:56am there was a good jolt with the bed shaking and walls rattled. Then I noticed a large gust of wind outside afterwards. It was only about 2 seconds. I am from Alaska and use to earthquakes so thought I would just share this small experience I had here on Oklahoma.
Kaylee Provost from SW OKC:
I was asleep when all of a sudden my house got a huge jolt and started shaking. I thought we were being bombed but turns out it was and earthquake that was knocking things off of my shelves. Minutes later I felt the aftershock that also rocked my home.
Jessica Davis from Edmond, Oklahoma: About 2:00 AM I'm on the second floor of my building and there was a rough shake that lasted a good 5-7 seconds. Car alarms went off outside even. My bed shook and I shook on my bed. Didn't wake up my neighbor though, only everyone still awake felt it.

Paula Gunn from Edmond, Oklahoma: Around 2am I was awoken by a very strong shake that made the windows shake and shook my bed n bed posts strongly trimmer.

This is over 50% more than have been affected in an average year during the last decades,  a 2009 Oxfam report has mentioned forecasting the natural disasters 2015 statistics .
