• Dust storm in Chhattisgarh, India
  -Dust storm in Chhattisgarh region of India has claimed lives of at least six people.
  -Storm injured around 25 people and damaged more than 150 houses.
  -Trains services were also affected by recent storms in Chhattisgarh.

Recent Earthquakes 

• M 4.3 light shallow earthquake in Morocco (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 13 km ESE of Azrou. It will have well felt by the people of El Hajeb, Sefrou and Meknes.

• M 5.2 moderate earthquake near the East Coast of Honshu, Japan (@ 61 km depth) with epicenter located 33 km ENE of Namie. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Marumori, Kakuda, Watari, Chiba, Iwaki, Hitachi, Sendai, Tsukuba, Yokohama and Tokyo.

• M 6.6 strong earthquake in Bougainville Region, Papua New Guinea (@ 35 km depth) with epicenter located 105 km W of Panguna. People of Arawa, Kokopo and Kimbe will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.

  -Imelda continues to approach Mauritius and remains a threat to the islands.

  -Winds of 120Km/h have been recorded at Rodrigues Island.
  -Cyclone Warning for Rodrigues is level four.

• At least four skiers have died in weekend avalanches in French Alps. Three died in avalanche in Dent Parrachee mountain in the Savoie region and one other died in an avalanche in Champsaur.
