Kamchatka (Russia)/Tolbachik volcano eruption
-Lavas from the Kamchatka Russia volcano Plosky Tolbachik have destroyed two nearby scientific camps.
-Scientific bases were 10 kilometers away from the Plosky Tolbachik volcano.
-Schools and kindergartens have cancelled all classes in nearby Kozyrevsk village.
-Tolbachik volcano is throwing clouds of ash to the height of 3,000 meters with the potential for ash explosions up to 10 km.
-The 3,085-meter Plosky Tolbachik volcano in Russia's Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula erupted for the first time in 36 years on November 27, 2012.
-The Plosky Tolbachik volcano has erupted only 10 times since 1740.

Heavy rains in Honduras
-Three killed as a result of the torrential rains in northern Honduras.
-Choloma River swept away two children  in La Jutosa, Cortes province of Honduras. Another died in a landslide in Baracoa, Cortes.
-Heavy rains in Honduras caused flooding in Puerto Cortes and has blocked the road linking the town with San Pedro Sula, the largest city in northern Honduras.

Landslide in Norte de Santander, Colombia
-Ten missing and 50 others are trapped in a huge landslide in the northeastern Colombian province of Norte de Santander.
-Heavy rainfall caused avalanche in the hamlet of Teorama.
-Search efforts are currently suspended due to poor visibility. The landslide disaster area can only be reached by air.
-The 2010 Colombian landslide (with flooding) killed 174 people. The most serious blocking occurred on the Ocana - CĂșcuta road (current location, Norte de Santander). -One killed in flooding in St Asaph, Denbighshire, Wales.
-Around 500 people evacuated in the Welsh city of St Asaph after the river Elwy burst its banks.
-Several roads in Worcestershire, County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland are closed.
-Some schools in Conwy and Denbighshire in Wales are also closed.
-Almost 500 flood warnings and alerts are in place today in North East England and North Wales.

Flood and landslide in Panama
-Two people reported to be killed in landslide as floods hit Panama.
-Panama has declared Capira, Chorrera and Colon disaster areas.
-The worst flood hit areas were Colon province on the Caribbean coast and the Capira area 60km west of Panama City. Storms damaged 800 homes.
-A river burst its bank and flooded near by shops in Chorrera.

Flooding in Jakarta, Indonesia
-Torrential rain caused flooding in 16 urban villages in 5 sub-districts in East Jakarta. Among those 16 urban villages are Kampungmelayu and Bidaracina (Jatinegara Sub-District), Cililitan, Dukuh and Kramatjati (Kramatjati Sub-District), and Kalisari, Gedong, Cijantung, Baru and Pekayon (Pasarrebo Sub-District).

Flooding in Somerset, England
-A man died following torrential rain in Somerset. His vehicle submerged in flood water.
-Stormy weather also caused travel disruption across Somerset and Bristol.
-Train services between Taunton and Exeter were cancelled because of flooding.
-Houses below Upper Camden Place in Bath were evacuated because of landslip. However no injury reported.
-Galashiels (Scottish Border) also suffers flash flooding.

-Heavy rainfall caused flooding in South Cumbria.
-The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Cumbria.
-Train services affected in Barrow, Whitehaven and Carlisle, and Barrow through to Preston and Lancaster.
-Flood alert also issued for Upper Derwent, from Seathwaite to Derwentwater.  Public transport has been affected near Barrow and Ulverston in Cumbria.
