Michigan statewide tornado drill today: March 25, 2020

March 25, 2020: As a part of Severe Weather Awareness Week, the state of Michigan is conducting its statewide tornado drill today afternoon at 1 PM.

Apart from the sirens, the alerts will also be send on the weather radio and other devices that receive emergency alerts.  

According to Michigan State Police, many counties have canceled their tests for tornado drill today.

Many counties aren't testing its emergency alert system due to the ongoing state of emergency in the community. Due to the concerns and anxiety with COVID-19, the counties have cancelled plans to test the tornado drill scheduled for today.
