M5.0 earthquake in Pokhara today — Epicenter near Lumle, Dhamphus

March 15, 2020: A moderate earthquake of magnitude 5.0 has been recorded in Pokhara today at 08:45 pm, the country''s  National Seismological Center (NSC) reported.

According to the NSC, the epicenter was located in between Lumle and Dhampus.

People rushed out from their houses during the earthquake. However, no preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.

Lumle and Dhampus are the popular tourist destination of Kaski district.

The April 2015 Nepal earthquake killed nearly 9,000 people.
