Iran: Qom earthquake measures 4.0 in magnitude

March 15, 2020: Magnitude 4.0 light earthquake has been recorded in Qom Province today, the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of the University of Tehran reported.

The earthquake's epicenter was located 19 km of Qom.

No major damage or injuries is expected from this earthquake in Qom today.

The 2003 Bam earthquake of magnitude 6.6 in magnitude killed at least 26,271 people and injured around 30,000 people in Iran.
