Recent flooding in southern Tanzania leaves 21 dead

February 4, 2020: Recent flooding in southern Tanzania has claimed lives of 21 people.

Floods have been affecting Lindi, Iringa, Ruvuma, Mtwara regions in southern Tanzania since January 27, 2020.

The highest fatalities have been reported from southern district of Kilwa (Lindi Region) where at least 13 people have been died. Further, around 15,000 people have been displaced.
