Rwanda: Flooding, mudslides in Kigali kill 13

February 4, 2020: Flooding and mudslides triggered by heavy rainfall have claimed lives of at least 13 people in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda.

Floodwater swept away 15 houses in Kigali and left some roads inaccessible.

The Rwanda Meteorology Agency has predicted more heavy rainfall in coming days.
