Tremor felt in Kathmandu valley; Epicenter near Kirtipur

Mild tremor rattled Kathmandu valley and surrounding areas at 09:21pm Thursday night, Nepal Seismological Center reported.

According to Seismological Center, the epicenter of magnitude 3.5 quake was located near Kirtipur. The recent tremor is an aftershock of Gorkha earthquake which claimed lives of more than 8500 people last year.

Yesterday, magnitude 5.4 strong aftershock rattled Sindhupalchowk. Atleast 435 aftershocks of magnitude 4 or greater have rattled Nepal since the April 25 Gorkha earthquake.
