Storm brings flash flooding in Cache Creek, British Columbia

Heavy storm has brought hail and flash flooding in Cache Creek, British Columbia early Saturday evening.

Flash flooding from the Bonaparte River swept away one or two mobile homes and a vehicle, CBC/Radio-Canada reported.

Flash flooding has closed Highway 1 and Highway 97 in both directions in the community.

Environment Canada had earlier issued a weather alert for a severe thunderstorm warning on Saturday.
