Sinkhole swallows 12 houses in Kashmir

At least twelve residential houses collapsed and several other partially damaged Tuesday due to land sinking in Indian-controlled Kashmir's Baramulla district following heavy downpour and snowfall for the past several days.

The worst affected include Laridora in Narwaw area of Baramulla, where at least eight residential houses collapsed, Greater Kashmir has written.

Around 11 residential houses have been partially damaged due to sinkhole in Wehdina, Bulbulabad and Kawhaar area.

All the residents were pulled out safely from the debris of collapsed structures,  Xinhua reported.

Another sinkhole has been reported at KhonakhanDalgate road in Srinagar.
