'Nakri' Typhoon in South Korea kills 10: Disaster Management Agency

Typhoon Nakri in South Korea has claimed lives of at least 10 people and injured 2 others, Korea Herald reported quoting Central Disaster Management Agency.

Fatalities are from South Jeolla Province and North Gyeongsang Province of South Korea.

According to the Disaster Management Agency, family of six, including two infants, and a friend died after being swept away by rain-swollen water as they drove over an inundated bridge in North Gyeongsang.

Power supplies were disrupted in Kwangju City, South Jolla and South Kyongsang provinces and on Jeju Island. 

The typhoon in South Korea also destroyed roads in the areas of Janghung, Sunchon and Kwangyang of South Jolla Province, Korean News Service said.
