Rukum, Nepal landslide buries 5 houses, displaces 49 families

Landslide in Rukum district of Nepal has buried at least five houses and displaced around 49 families, local medias reported.

According to The Himalayan Times, landslide triggered by heavy rainfall destroyed five houses at Bairagithati bazaar of Rukum. Landslide has also blocked Salyan-Rukum road.

Landslide which swept away five houses and 13 sheds at Bairagi Thanti Bazaar has completely displaced 49 families.

Properties worth nine million rupees have been destroyed in the landslide, Republica has written quoting the Natural Disaster Rescue Committee of the district.
