Paluweh volcano eruption 2013 kills 5

Paluweh volcano eruption 2013 has claimed lives of five people including two children, National Disaster Management Agency confirmed.

Fatalities from Paluweh volcano eruption includes three adults and two children.

Some reports are mentioning six casualties but it is yet to be officially verified.

Paluweh volcano erupted at 4:27 am local time Saturday, spewing ash up to 2,000 metres high, Xinhua reported quoting Volcanology Agency.

Nearly 3,000 people were evacuated from the area on Palue island, located north of Flores island.

The biggest Paluweh volcano eruption occurred due to the tsunami and earthquake in 1928.

Paluweh, also known as Rokatenda has been rumbling since October 2012.
