Central African Republic gold mine collapse kills 37, national mourning declared

A three days national mourning has been declared after 37 people died in Central African Republic gold mine collapse, local news reported.

Heavy rainfall triggered CAR gold mine collapse. Disaster area is located in Ndassima, about 440km east of Bangui.

According to Al Jazeera which has quoted Prosper Ndouba, spokesman for the president's office, 10 miners have been rescued and still unknown number of bodies have been trapped.
