Landslide, Flooding in Northern Italy: 1 killed

Flash flooding in northern Italy has killed at least one people, Italy based ANSA news reports.

A man was found drowned near Verona while firefighters rescued a woman trapped in her car buried by a mudslide.

Flood damage is expected in hundreds of millions of euros.

Landslide has blocked the railway outside Trento in the Valsugana valley between the Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige regions. Two buildings were also evacuated following landslide in Monte Marenzo, in Lecco.

Flooding in Tuscany and Venice claimed lives of four people in November 2012.

Bad weather is forecast to continue for next five days more.
