San Antonio flooding kills 3, emergency declared

-Death toll from San Antonio flood has risen to 3.
-The body of 18-year-old was found Sunday near Cibolo Creek.
-Earlier bodies of  two women were recovered.

-At least 200 people are believed to be rescued from their homes and cars in San Antonio.
-The San Antonio River reached record levels of over 10.5 metres on Saturday. Earlier in October 1998 the level was just 9.75 metres, the US National Weather Service said.
-Texas flood 1998 claimed 14 lives in San Antonio. Flood damage was around US$750 million.

Flooding in San Antonio, Texas killed one and left another missing, Fire department spokesman Christian Bove told CNN.

A flash flood emergency has been declared in San Antonio.

Heavy rainfall also delayed several flights at San Antonio International Airport. San Antonio International Airport received about 9.57 inches of rain during Saturday morning.

Following CNN meteorologists, San Antonio and Austin were under flash flood warnings and flood watches on Saturday afternoon.

Mayor Julian Castro has urged San Antonians to stay home as more rain is possible in coming hours.

Storms caused heavy rain, hail and street flooding in Temple, Texas some weeks ago.

Hail storm in Chennai: 3rd time in 5 years

Hail storm hit Ayanavaram, Chennai between 1.30pm and 1.45pm Friday afternoon. Nungambakkam recorded 3.5cm of rain and Meenambakkam 1.1cm, India Meteorological Department said.
