M 6.3 extremely dangerous earthquake has hit Iran Bushehr today. Tremors even felt across Dubai. Aftershocks expected. Updates below

-Death toll remains at 37.
-UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon extends his sincere condolences to the Iranian government and people.
Gulshan kumar from Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates writes:

"Hi I am Gulshan Kumar. I work as a security guard in Jumeirah. Today arround 5 pm, we felt our reception building shaking lightly but we ignore it first. When people started rushing, we knew about the earthquake."

-Iran Bushehr earthquake has killed 37 and injured 850 others, BBC mentions.
-Following Bushehr governor, earthquake has damaged 700 houses and affected 200 families.

-Death toll from Iran Bushehr earthquake has risen to 30.
-More than 500 people are reported to be injured.
-At least 17 ambulances along with emergency medical technician and earthquake relief teams have been send to the earthquake affected areas.

-Tremors were even felt at the Bushehr nuclear power plant but did not affect its operations and no radioactive release from the installation.
-Towers in Qatar and Bahrain have also been evacuated as part of emergency procedures.
-The Bahrain Meteorological Directorate has urged caution and warned against going to the sea over the next few hours.
-Earthquake also caused panic in parts of Manama.
-Around 13 aftershocks hit Kaki, according to Iran's Seismological Center.
-Communication lines in the area are down.

-Death toll from Iran Bushehr earthquake has risen to 12.
-Tremors were felt in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the US.
-Moderate aftershocks less than magnitude 5.0 are still recorded.

Light shaking of a glass door in our office located on Sheikh zayed Road.
Dubai UAE:
Myself and colleague felt tremor today at about 1600hrs. Building wobbled. Several friends reporting similar stories on social media. Not a significant tremor, but definitely felt the building wobble for a few seconds.
Sheik Zayed, Al Attar:
Yes, we feel it, and I thought I just feel dizzy and about to get faint so I stand, but all my colleagues feel the sway of the building too, so all ladies got panic coz we are in 20th floor. But thanks God it just lasted for few seconds.
Abu Dhabi:
We felt a weak shaking in our Building three times today at 4PM. Our building is located in AL Nasser Street, Corniche Road, Abu Dhabi. Some parts of the building creates an unusual noise while shaking.
Dubai:
I felt with the shaking ...all the office staff were running away to go to the staircase ...i was feeling that my head is was shaking and i will get fainted .we are located in sh. zayed road.city tower 2.
Deira:
I did not felt anything,surprised to hear there was an earthquake. But my friends said that they felt light tremors for 50 seconds.
Ibn Battuta:
MMI IV Light shaking; Slight but clearly felt.

-At least three people are dead.
-Two helicopters have been send to the epicenter area.
-Several buildings have been evacuated in Dubai.
-No tsunami warning for UAE.

Light shaking (MMI IV): Bandar-e Bushehr, Borazjan, Firuzabad, Khark, Shiraz, Kazerun, Al Jubayl, Madinat ash Shamal, Ad Dammam and Manama.
Weak shaking (MMI III): Yasuj and Dubai.

M 6.3 extremely dangerous earthquake shakes Southern Iran today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 89 km SE of Bandar Bushehr and 92 km SSE of Borazjan. It was 6.2 miles deep.

The earthquake has occurred near the Borozjan fault, near a salt dome.

Tremors even felt in Dubai.

    Initially i just heard the pots and pans (hanging on my wall) clanging together and a split second later i could actually feel the building wobble and it was repeated for a second time then nothing after that.

  9. We in Sharjah AL Majaz area felt the building wobbling for more than two minutes... we live on the 8th floor so we panicked and we took the staircase down as did all of our building residents... some are still standing outside...

  12. I live in dubai marina sulafa tower I was on the balcony 68th floor ,when feel this kind of dizzy then the balcony started to wobbling I didn't know it was earthquake but was afraid the sensation was like im on a boat. The building was moving left to right I swear..

Q: The tremors of earthquake were felt at intervals of 15 seconds. The first tremor was felt at 8:54:57 and last tremor was felt at 10:45:12. How many times were the tremors felt? A: The answer is 441 Difference of times = 10:45:12 - 8:54:57 = 9:104:72 - 8:54:57 = 1:50 :15 = 3600 + 3000 + 15 = 6615 seconds. Now, 6615/15 = 441 Still confused?
