  • Earthquake in Southern Iran
    -M 6.3 extremely dangerous earthquake hit Iran Bushehr region.
    -
    Tremors were even felt at the Bushehr nuclear power plant but did not affect its operations.
    -Towers in Qatar and Bahrain were also been evacuated as part of emergency procedures.

  • Landslide on Jammu-Srinagar highway, India
    -Landslide on Jammu-Srinagar highway in India has killed an officer of an international company.

  • M 6.3 extremely dangerous earthquake in Southern Iran (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 89 km SE of Bandar Bushehr. The earthquake occurred near the Borozjan fault, near a salt dome. Click for detail report on Iran Bushehr earthquake.

    -Several buildings have been evacuated in Dubai.
    -No tsunami warning for UAE.
  • M 3.1 weak shallow earthquake in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming (@ 1 km depth) with epicenter located 46 km SSE from Gardiner. It will have well felt by the people of West Yellowstone and Cooke City-Silver Gate.

  • M 4.9 moderate earthquake in Southern Greece (@ 24 km depth) with epicenter located 21 km SSW of Gefyra. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Kalamákion, Kalamáta, Khanía, Palaión Fáliron and Sparta.

    -Victoria is forecast to reach category 2 intensity overnight.

    -As of 12:00 UTC, TC Imelda was located 650 nm north-northeast of La Reunion.

    -Tornado in Colorado has destroyed one mobile house and damaged two others.

Hail storm hit Ayanavaram, Chennai between 1.30pm and 1.45pm Friday afternoon. Nungambakkam recorded 3.5cm of rain and Meenambakkam 1.1cm, India Meteorological Department said.
