-Tropical Cyclone THANE has now Crossed Tamil Nadu leaving 6 dead. The raw video aside of THANE'S affect in Punducherry can be seen clearly showing fallen tress which has blocked the road.
-5 died in Cuddalore by collapsing of wall and 1 in Vanarampet village in Puducherry by collapsing of house
-400 trees uprooted on the Cuddalore-Chidambaram road by THANE storm-Disruptions in phone and Internet services
-Heavy rainfall will occur in next 12 hours over over north coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry
-In 1999, a “super-cyclone” killed 10,000 people in Orissa - WildFire in Torres del Paine, Chile (UPDATED 12/30/2011)
-1,500 hectares of vegetation in a Patagonia nature preserve in southern Chile is destroyed
-More than 400 evacuated
-Torres del Paine National Park is one of the most visited parks in Patagonia

- M 4.3 strong shallow earthquake recorded in Baja California, Mexico (@ 10 km depth) today with epicenter located just 23 km SW from Guadalupe Victoria, Baja California, Mexico. About 2,000 people will experience moderate shaking from this Mexican earthquake. People of Alberto Oviedo Mota, Guadalupe Victoria and Estacion Coahuila will have experienced moderate shaking of MMI V. The populated area Mexicali will feel weak shaking.
15:34 UTC (local time Friday, December 30, 2011 at 07:34 AM @ epicenter) - M 5.1 moderate earthquake in Ica, Peru today (Cruz Labrada, Departamento de Ica). People of Santiago and Ica will have experienced light shaking (@ 51 km depth). Maria Reiche Neuman Airport lies just 46 km far from the epicenter.
The epicenter is 128 km SSE of Chincha Alta, Peru; 152 km W of Puquio, Peru and 312 km SSE of LIMA, Peru
09:22 UTC (local time Friday, December 30, 2011 at 04:22 AM @ epicenter) - M 5.5 moderate earthquake in Southern Sumatra, Indonesia with epicenter located 116 km WSW of T.-Telukbetung, Sumatra, Indonesia. About 8,000 people will feel moderate shaking of MMI V. People of Tanjungkarang-Telukbetung, Kotabumi, Metro, Terbanggi-besar, Labuhan, Baturaja and Serang of Indonesia will feel weak shaking.
Tanjungkarang-Telukbetung is populated area luckily far from the epicenter
08:51 UTC (local time Friday, December 30, 2011 at 03:51 PM @ epicenter) - M 3.2 very shallow earthquake near to Grui, Romania (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 75 km W Râmnicu vâlcea. It will be well felt above the epicenter
07:30 UTC (Local time 09:30; 12/30/2011 @ epicenter) - M 4.6 moderate deep earthquake near to Riobamba, Ecuador (@ 126 km depth). It will be faintly felt in Alausí and Riobamba region of Ecuador
07:13 UTC (local time Friday, December 30, 2011 at 02:13 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.2 moderate earthquake stuck SouthWestern Siberia, Russia today with epicenter located 77 km NE Kyzyl, Russia (@ 60 km depth). It will be faintly felt. It is the same area where earlier M 6.6 stuck 3 days ago. (@ very strong shallow earthquake in Saryg-Sep, Siberia, Russia)
03:13 UTC (local time 10:13; 12/30/2011 @ epicenter) - M 4.8 moderate Sea quake in Halmahera, Indonesia (@ 87 km depth) with epicenter located 130 km NNE of Ternate, Moluccas, Indonesia. It will be faintly felt
01:45 UTC (local time Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10:45 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.3 very shallow earthquake in close to Van, Turkey (@ 5 km depth). People of Ozalp and Van will feel well shaking and will be faintly felt by people of Hakkari, Turkey. It is the same area where earlier M 7.2 earthquake took 605+ lives (Read also Turkey Earthquake 2011)

- Tropical Cyclone FOUR-11 with current wind speed 20 m/s is active in Indian Ocean. GREEN ALERT
