  • M 4.6 shallow moderate earthquake in Guatemala (@ 10 km depth). The epicenter is just 42 km NE of Huehuetenango, Guatemala (Ucalbitz, Departamento del Quiche) It will be well felt above epicenter. People of Coban and Huehuetenango of Guatemala will have felt it well. People of Chajul will feel strongest shaking. It will be felt in vast region of Quezaltenango. Coban Airport of Guatemala lies just 49 km far from the epicenter.

  • Volcanic eruptions in ‘Jabal Al-Zubair’, Yemen
    -light volcanic activity reported in ‘Jabal Al-Zubair’ archipelago, 120 km northwest of Hodeida Governorate.
    -Emission of Co2 and So2 has decreased to some extent
    -New circular Island is formed about 1 km north of Rugged Island
  • Ijen volcano in East Java erupting soon
    -Seismic activity increased
    -Indonesian Geological Survey has raised the alert level for Ijen volcano from 2 to 3 (out of 4)

  • “Very Severe” cyclonic storm THANE in Tamil Nadu, India
    -Cyclonic Storm "THANE" is expected to cross Tamil Nadu coast today morning (Friday morning)
    -Heavy rainfall is forecasted over north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and south coastal Andhra Pradesh of India
