A fake information saying NASA confirmed six days of “total blackout” in December has became viral. Another hoax claims about the blackout from the 21st to the 23rd of December.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cyclone alert for north Gujarat coast of India following a very severe cyclonic storm 'Nilofar'. Cyclone Nilofar was located about 1120 km south west of Naliya (Gujarat), 1170 km south - southwest of Karachi (Pakistan) and 840 km east -southeast of Salalah (Oman) at 02:30 IST, 28th October 2014.

People believed it as the alarm for Tsho Rolpa glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF). There are several alarms joined in the area for early warning of Tsho Rolpa glacial lake status. It was just before 5 p.m. Japan time when Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) issued an earthquake alert of magnitude 7.8. Loud alarms rang from cellphones and TVs and residents throughout Japan were said to prepare for a jolt. But JMA was wrong this time, it turned out to be only a mild shake. Yes it happened today in western Japan. After few minutes, an earthquake was reported of magnitude 2.3 centered in Wakayama prefecture, in western Japan. According to the Earthquake Report, Japan earthquake early warning system even stopped the bullet train at some parts. Bullet train between Odawara and Shin-Osaka was resumed about 10 minutes later. Mobile phone lines were also jammed for about 15 minutes in the Kansai, Shikoku and Chugoku regions in western Japan. The agency blamed electronic noise on the ocean floor for triggering the apparently false alarm, NHK reported.
