NASA never issued '2014 December blackout warning'

A fake information saying NASA confirmed six days of “total blackout” in December has became viral.

Another hoax claims about the blackout from the 21st to the 23rd of December.

Huzlers has also written an article entitled "NASA Confirms Earth Will Experience 6 Days of Total Darkness in December 2014!" mentioning that NASA confirmed that the Earth will experience 6 days of almost complete darkness and will happen from the dates Tuesday the 16 – Monday the 22 in December.

Readers, please note that six days blackout in December 2014 is 100% fake information and NASA assumption of 'Blackout December 21' is Hoax as Well. It's fake and NASA has not predicted a global blackout in December.

"No, the universe is not about to realign in December 2014, nor will there be a three-day blackout at that time during which the Earth will shift into a new dimension. Neither NASA nor any other credible scientific entity has made such a pronouncement. Ever,” Snopes has written.

Such NASA December blackout warning rumor even originated back in 2012 citing Mayan calendar end of the world on 21 December 2012. Online rumor claimed same information of 3 days of darkness- a 'total blackout' on planet earth from Dec. 23, 2012 to Dec.25, 2012 as well (Read the article published in 2012). The current fake information have been just updated and recirculated via internet.

  1. Too. Bad these alarmist do not realize when a solar flare CME does occur. Boy who cried wolf..an intentional global shut down of all electricity is the only way to keep the whole grid from going down during in an impact of a power surge. Anything left on will burn any points ( hardware chips ect) or data software
