Flooding in Derbyshire, England kills 1

November 9, 2019: A woman has been dead in the flood water in Derbyshire caused by heavy rainfall in 24 hours than it normally receives in a single month. Derbyshire and South Yorkshire have been worst hit by the floods. More than 100 flood warnings are in place across England .   River Derwent burst its banks leading to the evacuation of the people.

Tornado in Hayling Island, England injures 100

At least 100 people have been injured in tornado in Hayling Island in Hampshire. Tornado has damaged properties in Blackthorn Road and Ilex Walk, BBC Weather reported.  A major tornado cleanup operation is underway. Sussex flood suspends Championship match

Flash flooding hit West Sussex Saturday with worst affected parts as Littlehampton and Rustington. According to the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, calls have been received mainly from Littlehampton, in particular Clifton Road, South Terrace and the sea front. The Championship match between Charlton Athletic and Doncaster Rovers at The Valley in London has also suspended due to severe weather, Daily Mail UK reported. At least 18 flood alerts have been issued across the UK by the Environment Agency. Sussex flood 2000 damaged more than 10,000 homes and businesses. Yorkshire floods today: Flood damage in Calder Valley and Todmorden

Extremely heavy rains have caused flood damage in Calder Valley and Todmorden, West Yorkshire. Walsden, near Todmorden in West Yorkshire, England has been hit by up to 18in (46cm) of water. The Environment Agency had issued flood alert for the River Calder and its tributaries from Todmorden to Brighouse. Yorkshire floods today have affected around 20 houses. Several properties in Walsden have suffered flood damage, BBC reported. Half a month's rainfall was recorded in just two hours in Yorkshire. In other hand, downpours have given relief from the heatwave. But still the Met Office has issued a level two heatwave warning for the south east and east of England for Thursday and Friday. Massive landslip on Dorset coast

Update -South West Coast Path has been closed by Dorset County Council. -Landslip on Dorset coast happened overnight. -At least 21 landslips have occurred in last three months which is higher than the average of 2-3 per year. -People are urged to stay away from the cliff edge. Massive landslip on Dorset coast path near Durdle Door has been reported. Landslip occurred at St Oswald's Bay, east of Durdle Door, BBC News mentions. No injury has been reported. The beach is popular and very close to the Durdle Door Caravan Park. Several landslides occurred earlier this month at nearby White Nothe. Cliff fall at St Oswald's Bay, Dorset; MCA Locals are advised to observe the warning signs and stay away from the edge.
