A: The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) is tasked to identify the intensity of earthquake in the Philippines. 

 PHIVOLCS operates 108 seismic monitoring stations all over the Philippines as of December 2020.

PHIVOLCS is a service institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). It works providing services for warning, disaster preparedness and mitigation.
