Landslide in Cibitoke, Burundi kills 38

December 5, 2019: Landslide triggered by heavy rainfall has claimed lives of 38 people in Cibitoke province of northwestern Burundi.

Out of total fatalities, 22 people died in Nyuempundu, 13 in Rukombe hill and three in Gikomero.

Bolide observed in western Nepal: NASO

March 26, 2020: The object seen in the Nepali sky Thursday evening is probably a fireball or a bolide, The Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) said.
Meanwhile, NASO has urged Gandaki province residents to share any evidence of the object observed entering the atmosphere. 
A bright object was seen in western Nepal mainly reported from Pokhara, Syanga and Baglung with loud crashing sound heard around 8pm.
A bolide is an extremely bright meteor, especially one that explodes in the atmosphere.

M7.5 earthquake hits Kuril Islands — Tsunami watch cancelled for Hawaii

The tsunami watch has been cancelled for Hawaii.

The United States Geological Survey has revised the magnitude to 7.5. The epicenter was located around 456 km far from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Kamchatka, Russia.

The earthquake occurred at 56.7 km depth.

The tsunami watch is in effect for state of Hawaii. The estimated tsunami arrival time is 10:39 p.m. H.S.T.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reports that tsunami waves are forecast to be less than 0.3 meters (0.98 feet) above the tide level for the coasts of Hawaiʻi, Japan, Johnston Atoll, Midway Island, Northern Marianas, Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, Russia and Wake Island.
