Russia flooding: Dam collapse kills 15

October 19, 2019: At least 15 people have died and 13 others have been missing after a dam collapse at a gold mine in Siberia.

The dam, on the Seiba river in the region of Krasnoyarsk, burst after heavy rain on Saturday.

Emergency workers have been searching for the missing people.

According to the BBC, "People are being evacuated from a nearby village of Kuragino because of the raised water levels from the Seiba River and local flooding."
