Magnitude 3.4 earthquake in Alum Rock, San Jose

October 10, 2019: A magnitude 3.4 earthquake hit near the Alum Rock neighborhood of San Jose early Wednesday morning.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake's epicenter was located 8.5 km (5.3 mi) WSW of Alum Rock, California.

The earthquake occurred a depth of 9.3 km.

The tremor was well felt in San Jose and Milpitas.
