February 19, 2019: An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 has been recorded in Hakuba, just outside the city of Nagano today, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported.
The earthquake occurred at 21:04 JST with epicenter located 10km below the surface.
Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has measured seismic intensity of 3 in Nagano-ken Hokubu region. According to JMA, seismic activity of 3 would have been felt in Nagano-shi, Omachi-shi, Matsukawa-mura and Ogawa-mura area.
This earthquake poses no tsunami risk.
