Earthquake tremor felt in Port Royal, Jamaica?

No seismometer has recorded any signs of an earthquake striking the Port Royal, Jamaica. In most of the cases, tremors are even caused by localized minor land disturbances and are not likely to cause any severe impacts.

May 22, 2018: An earthquake tremor has been across Port Royal, Jamaica today. Thousands of people from Port Royal have been reporting of an earthquake felt in the region.

However, no seismological centers have mentioned about the earthquake in Port Royal till 02:00 UTC. Did you feel the earthquake? Kindly mention in the comment section below. We will update once the official news comes out. 

An earthquake of magnitude 7.5 rattled Port Royal, Jamaica in 1692. The earthquake triggered Tsunami and caused most of the city to sink below sea level. Around 5,000 people were died in the disaster.
