Earthquake in Chitlang kills 1, injures other in Dhading

June 21, 2017: One person died in Dhunibesi Municipality-5 in Dhading district as magnitude 3.2 earthquake struck Chitlang of Makawanpur district on Wednesday.

A labour working at a brick factory in Dhunibesi died after bricks fell on him following a tremor at 10:25 am, The Himalayan Times reported.

The victim has been identified as Rijan Sadai, 35 years old, a permanent resident of Darbanga region of India.

His 10-year-old son also sustained injuries in the same incident.

Earlier, magnitude 4.1 was recorded in Taplejung-Tibet border region.
