Fiji tsunami prediction creates panic in Suva; just a rumour

There are rumours circulating about a tsunami threat in Fiji. People are panicked after the false news about the recent tsunami warning issued for Suva, the capital city of Fiji.

There is currently no signal for tsunami threat in Fiji. No major earthquakes have been recorded.

According to the special weather bulletin issued by Fiji Meteorological Service at 09:30  pm on 26th February 2016, a flood alert has been issued for the low lying areas at Rakiraki station of Rakiraki town.

Fiji has recently been devastated by Cyclone Winston. The death toll has risen to 42.

Currently, there is no any special warning issued for Suva. No flood alert or any other natural disasters alert has been issued for Suva. Not Tsunami Alert atleast!
