    -Tropical Cyclone Ula is expected to downgrade to an extra-tropical depression during the next 24 hours.
    -Cyclone Ula is now a Category Two cyclone and moving in a south easterly direction over open water.

  • Attorney General Koster has announced his support for the allocation of more than $500,000 in disaster-relief funds from the Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) to assist families across Missouri whose homes were damaged or destroyed by recent flooding.

Typhoon Kompasu kills 11 in Philippines

October 12, 2021: Typhoon Kompasu (called "Maring" in Philippines) has claimed lives of eleven people and left seven others missing in Philippines . More than 6,500 villagers have been evacuated from flood affected areas. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), fatalities have been reported from Benguet, Cagayan and Palawan province. The Philippines' National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) was on ALERT STATUS RED since the start of the natural disaster . According to the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD), Kompasu will make landfall in upper Vietnam on Wednesday or Thursday. Heavy rain is expected in Mukdahan, Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon and Bueng Kan provinces in Thailand.

Tibet/Nepal earthquake 2013 injures people
