  • Wildfire in Western Australia
    -At least 95 homes have been destroyed by recent wildfire in remote Australian town of Yarloopn.
    -A lightning strike Wednesday evening local time triggered fire in the region.
  • Flooding in western Albania
    -Floods triggered by heavy rainfall have caused evacuations of around 500 families in western Albania.
    -Shkumbini River flooded early Thursday. Floods have also affected capital Tirana.
  • Avalanche in Gangapurna Mountain, Nepal
    -An avalanche has been reported on Gangapurna Mountain in Manang district of Nepal.
    -The residential area is far from the disaster site. No damage or injuries have been reported.
    -The mountain lies in Manang district of Nepal between Annapurna III and Tilocho Peak at an altitude of 7454m.

  • M 4.0 light earthquake in Uzbekistan (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 12 km ESE of Amir Timur. It will have been well felt by the people of Yangiyul, Zafar, Buka and Tashkent.

  • M 5.0 moderate earthquake in Afghanistan (@ 219 km depth) with epicenter located 32 km SSE of Jarm. Weak tremor will have been felt by the people of Kabul, Peshawar, Abottabad and Islamabad, Pakistan.

  • Severe flood warnings in Scotland
    -The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) has issued severe flood warnings for Inverurie and Kintore.
    -River Don is expected to bursts its bank as it reached the highest water level on record.
    -According to BBC, more than 20 Aberdeenshire schools will be closed or partially closed on Friday due to the severe conditions.

    -Eruptions continue at Kīlauea Volcano's summit and Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent on the East Rift Zone, U.S. Volcano Hazards Program mentioned.

  • Tropical Cyclone Pali
    -Tropical Cyclone Pali has became the earliest central Pacific tropical storm on record.
    -Pali formed between Kiribati and Marshall Islands, in the northern hemisphere.
    -Pali is currently about 1,300 kilometres south of Hawaii. This system is currently no threat to land.
