Magnitude 5.1 tremor in Dolakha shakes Kathmandu valley

Magnitude 5.1 tremor rattled Kathmandu valley at 02:47 pm Sunday afternoon, the Nepal Seismological Center (NSC) reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located in Gaurishankar Conservation Area of Dolakha district.

It was well felt in and around Kathmandu valley. Light to weak shaking have been also reported from Rasuwa, Sindhupalchowk and Kavre districts of Nepal.

This is the sixth aftershocks of magnitude 4 and greater recorded in Dolakha district in last 15 days. At least 380 aftershocks of magnitude 4 or greater have followed the devastating April 25 earthquake.

No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.
