Nepal earthquake aftershock today June 11, 2015

A massive earthquake of magnitude 7.9 rattled Nepal on April 25, 2015. The earthquake, which struck at 11:56 am on Saturday, has already claimed lives of more than 8,000 people, injured thousands and made millions homeless. Below are aftershocks of April 25 earthquake of magnitude 4 or greater as recorded by Nepal Seismological Center.

Nepal Seismological Center has recorded magnitude 5.3 aftershock in Sindhupalchowk at 09:57 pm. The epicenter was located near Langtang National Park below Golche.

Update 10:10 pm

According to EMSC, magnitude 5.0 aftershock has been recorded in Nepal-Tibet border at 09:57 pm. Nepal Seismological center website is currently down.

Update 10:00 pm

Strong aftershock has been felt in Kathmandu.

Update 10:15 am

Magnitude 4.6 aftershock has been recorded in Sindhupalchowk at 10:02 am with epicenter located 47 km E of Kathmandu. The epicenter was near Phulpingkot along Bhotekoshi river.

The tremor was well felt in Kathmandu valley and parts of Eastern Nepal. No further damage or injuries have been reported.

Magnitude 4.0 aftershock has been recorded in Dolakha, Nepal at 00:26 am mid-morning. The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) has mentioned epicenter about 74 km E of Kathmandu.

Meanwhile, the official Nepal Seismological Center (NSC) website has been hacked. The exact epicenter is yet to be known.

Yesterday, three aftershocks of magnitude greater than four rattled Nepal. Magnitude 4.3 aftershock with epicenter in Sindhupalchowk was even felt in capital city, Kathmandu.
