Earthquake rattles Kirtipur, Nepal

Magnitude 4.2 earthquake hit Kirtipur today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 16 km WSW of Kirtipur. It was 6.2 miles deep.

The earthquake occurred at 02:07 am (local time) Wednesday morning for the first time with epicenter in Kathmandu valley. Magnitude 6.8 major aftershock rattled Nepal Tuesday afternoon. At least 56 people have died in different parts of Nepal on Tuesday alone. In total, April 25 earthquake has killed more than 8,000 people in different parts of Nepal.
