Multiple lightning strikes in Bangladesh kill 8

Multiple lightning strikes in Bangladesh have claimed lives of at least eight people in four different districts.

Lightning strike killed three people in Kishoreganj, two each in Moulvibazar and Rajbari and one in Khulna district of Bangladesh.

According to The Daily Observer, three people, including two siblings, died as lightning struck in Katiadi and Itna upazilas in Kishoreganj.

Two women were killed as lightning struck them at Pashchim Hajipara village in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar, Dhaka Tribune reported.

In Rajbari, two died including 11 years old child in a lightning strike at Mahishbatan village in Sadar upazila.

Similarly, one died in Khulna, two other got injured as they were hit by a thunderbolt in Koyra upazila in the afternoon. 

Severe storm in Bangladesh have claimed lives of dozens of people in this month. Recent catastrophes have affected Dhaka, Rajshahi, Bogra, Naogaon, Natore, Pabna, Sirajganj, Chapainawabganj, Gaibandha, Sherpur, Manikganj and Narsingdi districts of Bangladesh.

Out of 100 cities with the greatest exposure to natural disasters, eight are located in Bangladesh.
