Rockfall in China kills 7, injures 19 including Taiwan tourists

Rockfall in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has claimed lives of at least seven people and injured 19 others, including eight Taiwan tourists on Thursday morning.

Huge boulder hit the tourist group while visiting the Diecai Mountain scenic spot in Guilin City, China Radio International (CRI) said. Four people were dead at the scene, and three others were confirmed dead after being rushed to the hospital.

The eight Taiwanese, all slightly injured, are being treated at the Guilin People's Hospital, Shanghaiist reported.

Shanghaiist Reporters who arrived at the scene noted a sign at the park warning visitors to "Beware of falling rocks".
