Kuwait Earthquake Risk

Kuwait's historical documents have not shown any significant earthquakes within Kuwait.

"The Kuwait National Seismic Network (KNSN) has recorded more than 300 local earthquakes from March 1997 to December 2006. Recorded earthquakes in Kuwait reveal that earthquake activity in Kuwait is concentrated mainly in two regions – Minagish-Umm Gudair oil fields in the south and Al-Raudhatain/Al-Sabiryiah oil fields in the north," Dr. Abdullah Al-Enezi had mentioned in an interview published in Arab Times Online in April 2009.
