Thessaloniki floods kill 2, Greece-Turkey border river on alert

Flash floods in Thessaloniki, Greece have claimed lives of at least two people and prompted an alert along a river that divides Greece and Turkey.

The body of a 63-year-old motorist was found early Tuesday north of the city of Thessaloniki after his car was swept away by floodwater, ekathimerini reported.

Earlier, a farmer was killed in his tractor in a similar manner over the weekend.
