Minor earthquake in Melbourne today!

According to Nicole Goodfellow who is currently in Bayswater, Melbourne, the earthquake was quite loud/strong.


Earthquake was felt in Boronia , Ferntree Gully, Doncaster, Wantirna, Mitcham, Croydon and other surrounding areas. No immediate damage or injuries have been reported.

Finally Geoscience Australia is mentioning magnitude 2.7 earthquake near Bayswater, Melbourne.

Geoscience Australia is mentioning magnitude 2.7 earthquake without location and source. If it is the same earthquake in Melbourne which locals are reporting, then it occurred at the depth of 10 km around 04:58 UTC.

Magnitude 6.5 earthquake has been recorded lastly in Puerto Rico. This is the latest earthquake which international seismological centers and even Geoscience Australia has reported.
