Bayawan flooding kills 2

Flooding in Bayawan, Philippines has claimed lives of at least two people and caused the evacuation of 2,000 peoples.

Twelve hours of continuous rains caused the overflow of rivers in Bayawan City, Sta. Catalina and Basay, Sun Star has written quoting Negros Oriental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) action officer.

Evacuated people are living in gymnasium, campus and churches.

All the regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council members are said to be on alert status.
