Worst flooding in 3 decades in China’s Heilongjiang Province claims 11

Worst flooding in three decades in Heilongjiang Province of China has claimed lives of at least 11 people and left 3 others missing, Xinhua reported.

Flooding has destroyed more than 1 million hectares of farmland and affected two millions people.

The Heilongjiang flooding has caused direct economic losses of over 7 billion yuan, the provincial civil affairs department said.

China has initiated a 4-level emergency response and send disaster relief teams to the affected areas.
